Students will be able to use the shaded patio tables to do projects with the butterfly gardens and the National Wildlife Certified Habitat. They will also be able to have lunch with their mentors and earn the reward of participating in the every three week Fun Fridays with their grade level teachers during their lunch. Fun Fridays are earned reward days offering music, free snow cones and popcorn, and socializing with their grade level teachers. The tables as they are now are unshaded and become too hot in the sun to sit or work comfortably. These umbrellas would be the key to fully using our outdoor space as a classroom.
