My class is in need of a reading carpet! We do a lot of read-alouds, shared readings, and reading for enjoyment in my classroom. Whenever I read aloud to them (which is every day), we have to sit on the "imaginary carpet" because I do not have a classroom carpet. Many of my students included a "carpet for Mrs. Vincent" in their letters to Santa because they know I would love to have one for us to gather closely on during reading. They have the purest hearts and I would love nothing more than to be able to give them a carpet to sit on!
