I would like for the scholars I work with to have a healing space where they feel comfortable and safe to be themselves and to learn skills that will help them cope with personal and community trauma, grief and loss, and behavior challenges. I get to provide individual and group therapy sessions to amazing 9th graders and would like for them to have a comfy, welcoming space that is their own. The scholars I work with deserve to have a warm and inviting space for their emotional and behavioral growth. I am requesting a couch with pillows, two chairs, a colorful rug, and a coffee table for the 9th Grade therapy room so scholars can have a serene environment for therapeutic sessions. I am also requesting a game (its kind of like Jenga!) for initial sessions that helps build and reinforce relationships with scholars. Thank you so much for any contribution!
