On behalf of my students, I am requesting some much needed materials and supplies to make our Writing Workshop time successful! We simply need YOUR help in getting everything, from mini-staplers to a large area rug, into our dual language classroom! The large area rug will be placed in the front of our classroom to be used as a gathering/meeting place during mini-lessons, conferring with students, and share time. The Post-its, mini-staplers, and other items will be used during workshop time for students to draft and publish their writing booklets. Materials like Post-its will be used for revisions, editing, and giving students a compliment about their writing. The flexible seating cushions, chairs, and clipboards will help students settle into a comfortable spot to practice being a real author. A printer in our classroom will allow students to type their work and publish it (print it)! Your generous donations to this project will help develop my students' love for writing and improve their writing skills in a very intentional way. I recently received training in how to implement Writing Workshop, and I have been invigorated as a writer and a teacher. I am thrilled to bring this approach to teaching writing to my students since they will be growing as writers in an authentic way. We will use these materials and supplies to support us in becoming both Spanish and English authors in a world where our voices must be heard!
