I have been teaching for 30 years. I have purchased many cassette tapes and now more recently cds. Unfortunately, both of my listening centers have broken over time. All of these books on tape are fantastic opportunities for first graders to engage in rich vocabulary. Students also learn story concepts through listening. The tapes are engaging and offer students opportunities to digest whole stories without feeling the stress of reading. By donating to my project you will enrich my first graders love of reading. You will captivate them into a world of literature. These listening centers are a wonderful way for young readers to gain vocabulary and listening skills.
