The dividers I'm requesting will help with acoustic buffering between multiple instructional small groups within my classroom at any given time. I have four para-professionals that bring students into my classroom for small group instruction. The white-board and display board would allow for visual instruction to be utilized. Although hearing-aids and cochlear implants are beneficial, the background noise of a classroom makes it difficult for them to focus on instruction. Putting acoustical barriers within the classroom setting would minimize the amount of extraneous noise between small groups. These dividers will improve instruction by providing a surface for visual display in addition to serving as an acoustic barrier.
