My students are in a Project Based Learning (PBL) environment. They take an inquiry-based approach to their learning, to research and solve real-life problems. Each learning experience leads to an applicable solution that is presented in a project and presented to peers and an applicable and authentic audience. At the end of the semester, they are required to host a public exhibition of the work they completed all semester. In theory, this is GREAT! The challenge? We are an inner-city school, with inner-city students and very little money for supplies for said projects. Classroom staples to complete Project Based Learning projects will help students fulfill the requirements for an authentic PBL (Project Based Learning) end-project. Please help them with the basic supplies to succeed in this alternative learning initiative!
