My school is a public Title 1 school that focuses on science and the environment. These resources not only reinforce the schools mission but also help expose the students in that area of science and the environment but also build literacy skills. The books will expose the students to different animals, environment, renewable energy, recycling, and technology. These books will help the students learn new vocabulary, increase fluency, and perhaps gain new interests that will help them in the long run. I will use the books in whole groups, small groups, and have them in the class library for the students to use during free read time.
