For many of the students at my school, coming to school is the highlight of any weekday. My third graders are no different, oftentimes they are surprised when they realize "It's already time to go home?" My students this year are extremely independent and focused. They enjoy having a say and making their own choices for what activities to complete. I enjoy giving them freedom to choose and they encourage me to expand their options. Our rural school population is about 90% free or reduced lunch. Most students' parents work multiple jobs in a different state than where we live and attend school. Many of our students are learning English as a second language. Students at my school need care and support both educationally and emotionally, sometimes even physically. Often we come together as a school family to offer that extra support. I am so thankful for Donors helping me get all the little extras for my class.
