In my classroom of eighteen, I have several students at different reading levels. Some students are below grade level, some right on target, and others are well above the third-grade expectations. No matter where a student’s reading level falls, each one deserves to have books available to them that are exciting and encourage a love for reading. In order to best teach my students how to read and comprehend literature and gather information from various texts, these guided reading sets are the perfect combination of fiction and nonfiction titles. This project will help me bring these students some new books for our guided reading time.
