It will make the classroom a fun place to learn in! Flexible seating encourages students to make decisions that benefit their learning style the most. In my classroom I know that flexible will give students the ability to move, collaborate, communicate with their peers, and develop critical thinking skills. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. I know, for instance, the wobble chair will allow them to change their location and positions as needed. I believe that traditional desks can make students territorial or possessive over their space and supplies. I believe the floor table will allow students to work at a comfortable level. Flexible seating encourages students to share both. It encourages them to take turns in different locations and with different seating options.
