In kindergarten we spend a lot of time on the rug. Consistency and organization is key for them. This rug is perfect with the color coordination to help them remember where their special spot is on the rug, and what color group they are in. It also makes it easy to do interactive activities with them by splitting them up by color. Knowing which kids need to be near each other, and separated from each other is very important for classroom success. The colored squares also help with organizing the students. My classroom does not have this type of rug for my students, and I would love it for them!
