During my time teaching as a bilingual teacher, I am constantly amazed by my bilingual students. Can you imagine the brain power that goes into navigating a day in two languages? Each day, my students are able to think in their native language (Spanish), translate to English, and then often times help others again by translating words back to Spanish. I watch in awe at the amazing scholars they are. I want my students to know how special it is that they have this amazing gift and celebrate it! It is very important that they have access to amazing books where they can see their culture reflected. These books will help provide culturally relevant teaching in the classroom. They will provide them with fun stories that showcase their culture and language. I hope you can help me with this as well.
