Students need their own individual space to be able to create and learn. For my project I hope to bring a colorful carpet that has clear spaces that children can feel comfortable learning in. In kindergarten we spend a lot of time on our rug solving problems together, reading together, and having morning meeting. I want my children to feel like they are taking a magic carpet ride through their learning experiences. This carpet will help to make our classroom a home! We create a community on our carpet. Having clear spaces on our rug will help students to be able to focus on what they are learning rather than worrying if they are in someones space or someone is in their space. They know where they need to be and where their peers are. This rug can help students to learn boundaries and personal space as well as how to be a good audience.
