If this project is funded, the seven hundred students enrolled in our elementary school will be able to access the 60 computers in our labs with safe, volume limiting headphones. This will enable them to participate in remedial and accelerated literacy and math activities as well as career and college exploration activities. These headphones will greatly impact our students’ ability to interact with technology on a regular basis, both during and after school. The richness of the programs from with which they will interact will improve their college and career readiness and literacy skills. Our student population who have limited access to technology outside of the school setting will appreciate and value this interactive learning tool.
