This school year will be my first year as an intermediate Diverse Learner Educator in the Chicago Public School system. I would love to build a classroom library that represents the needs of my student dynamic with books that each of my students can relate to. As I am building our classroom library one book at a time, I would like to include a variety of books that fit each student's independent reading level and interest. I envision our classroom library having mystery books, poetry books, children literature, non-fiction and reference books, as well as popular kids series. Our classroom library should feel like a home away from home for students. Students should have an amazing space that will help create a love of reading. Thank you for taking the time to read about our classroom project.
