I plan to use this iPad as a teaching tool. Young learners often need repeated drills with letters, letter sounds, and numbers and iPads will allow students to practice these skills. It is important to me that my students are not only tech savvy but have access to electronic academic content that will maximize their early reading, writing, and numeric skills development. My students are eager to learn and relish the opportunity for independent practice presented in the format of video games and animated presentation. I look forward to implementing iPads in the classroom because this technology is reliable and offers a medium that is relevant and elegant. I have software programs our school system provides, but do not have an iPad that will support the program. I will use the technology to enforce letter name/sound, letter/number formation and number fluency.
