Our media program is growing. Students are already creating high-quality videos with their most familiar technology: their own phones. This setup will harness those skills and enhance them to create professional journalism projects for our school. Solo students will be able to to run audio and video on the go or team up with our main camera crew for B-roll footage. To meet these goals we are requesting: DJI OM 4: This gimbal will allow students to take their own phones into the field and create high quality, smooth, and cinematic videos. It has easy-to-use buttons, a simple app, and great customer service; perfect for a high school journalism team. Rode Compact Microphone: This microphone easily attaches to the gimbal and phone to instantly improve targeted sound capture quality, a necessity in noisy school hallways and rooms. Apple Lightening to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter: Modern iPhones need this adapter to connect to the microphone. TRS to TRRS Cable: Modern iPhones need this cable to connect to the microphone. Ring Clamp Adapter: The microphone needs this clamp to attach to the gimbal.
