Using the art supplies is only one part of what I am requesting. The books I have ordered give me the opportunity to teach them so many ways of expressing themselves that they have never tried before. Teaching them new ways to figure out how to draw people, cartoons, plants, and animals. They can learn to draw a landscape, write a comic book, do a self-portrait, all ways of giving them the chance to be successful and feel successful! I will show my students works by Van Gogh, Picasso, Rembrandt, and abstracts, etc. In some sessions, they will create their own replica of one of the masters, like "Starry Night". In other lessons, we will learn how to draw a body, a tree, a horse, a house in a realistic manner. Giving them the skills to expand the art they are used to doing with art they haven't tried before.
