Students need to be able to focus during independent work time and providing study carrels will help my class of 4th grade students get that much needed privacy. In a class of 35 students, it is hard to be able to stay on task while the teacher is working with small groups. These study carrels will give the students a place to work. The study carrels will also be great for standardized testing. As a teacher I will be able to sit on my Balance Ball chair and work with small groups or allow students to sit on the chair as a reward! This will be a special chair that stands out in a sea of hard plastic chairs that the students have to sit in every day.
