Teaching in rural Appalachia comes with challenges. Most of which is the need for the basic supplies for our students. Our students need pencils, markers, highlighters, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, tissues, erasers, scissors and any basic supply. No student deserves to have to do without basic supplies due to circumstances beyond their control! Many of our students come from low income households without the means to provide proper supplies to the children or to the school. These resources will give each student the opportunity to thrive in their educational career. I hope you will consider giving to my classroom project!

About my class
