Clipboards and individual white boards help support student learning by allowing them to have the flexibility to choose their own work space. Both of these items can be used by students throughout the classroom depending on their needs. Clipboards can be used by students who may prefer to move their seat to another location in the classroom during work time. They especially come in handy when students are working on the floor/carpet area. When students have the freedom to make their own choices, they take ownership of their learning. By having these resources available to students, it allows them to choose a spot that they work best in. Clipboards can be used by students who may prefer to move their seat to another location in the classroom during work time. They especially come in handy when students are working on the floor/carpet area. Whiteboards can also be used throughout the classroom by students and are especially useful for math. Students can use their individual whiteboard to work through problems. They are also beneficial to whole-group instruction. Students can work through warm-up or review problems on their boards as I walk around to see trends in student understanding.
