We use technology everyday in our classroom for xtramath and accelerated reader. The students are expected to complete xtramath daily along with reaching a goal of 10 points per student for AR. The iPads would make it easier for students to reach their math and reading goals along with having a comfortable place to sit using the bean bags. I feel students need a special place to go in a classroom other than sitting at their desk. We already have a library corner in our classroom and the bean bags would complete our corner! When students learn their math facts it enables them to have better math fluency which they will need to work out harder math problems in the common core curriculum. My students are able to read books of their interest and then take an accelerated reading quiz on the book. My third graders have a goal of reaching ten points for their accelerated reader goal each nine weeks. When students have a love of reading they are able to read more fluently and comprehend what they read. The iPads will give more students a chance to use technology and to reach their reading and math goals. The bean bags will complete our reading corner and give students a safe and comfortable place to go to enjoy reading a great book!
