The Holyoke Public Schools is transforming the high school experience to ensure that every student has a high-quality educational path, with a focus on college and careers for all students. Over the past year, the Holyoke High School graduation and dropout rates have dramatically improved to nearly 70%. As for my classroom, I will be working with English Language Learners predominately from Puerto Rico. I want to incorporate my Division-I experience with sports into my classroom as well as an after school program. These opportunities will build language knowledge to lead and strengthen their community.
