My students will use the rug during our small group time. My classroom has a tile floor, and adding a rug will create a more welcoming space for my students to spread out and better enjoy their small group time. I want my students to feel safe and comfortable in the classroom. This is the place they will spend most of their day, and when my students walk in I want my classroom to feel like a place they want to stay and learn. I will also use the rug for a meeting place when I need everyone to focus on the information being shared.
