I teach kindergarten for a Title I school. Most of my students come into the learning environment lacking the solid foundation necessary in today's education system. My students enjoy engaging and interactive materials such as the WikiStix cards and the listening center. Many of my students struggle to read and will often refuse to engage with the material because it is frustrating for them. Helping them learn to love reading through various methods will help them develop the confidence to read on their own. The document camera will be incredible in helping my students get more direct access to the directions or examples instead of having to wait for me to show these things in small groups.
