I teach Resource English at the high school level. Many of my students have learning disabilities in the areas of reading and writing, but don't have regular access to books or resources at their reading level. My students love to read, and through Donors Choose they will be able to read and understand these novels on their own, while increasing their reading and writing skills. These novels, "Wonder", "The Giver", and "Define Normal", will help me create 3 literature units for my special education students at their reading level. My students requested to read a number of different novels this school year, and these books received the highest number of votes. This project will help to enrich their experience with reading and become stronger readers.
