Allowing students the choice to play soccer as an alternative to other sports is very important to me. As a coach, I want my athletes to be able to participate in the sport of their choice. We try to include a variety of options at my school. Soccer is an important sport that offers conditioning, team work and exercise. It also allows students to compete with others. My athletes are in need of new soccer equipment to help them become better athletes. They enjoy participating in practice and they deserve to have the equipment necessary for proper coaching. They work hard on the field but could become more successful with the appropriate gear. Because my school is located in a high poverty area, resources are lacking to help fund the soccer team. They need and deserve to have updated soccer equipment to help them become better athletes. My athletes are in need of a variety of equipment to perform drills and practice such as portable nets, balls, anchor weights, and corner flags.
