Everyday we have reading centers, a chance for students to meet in small groups with the teacher or practice literacy and math skills independently. Osmos challenge and support every student in the class at their individual academic level. While ideal for enrichment, these self-checking “games” provide motivation and scaffolding for students who struggle. All students are highly motivated to “play” while learning core skills essential for number sense, counting, addition, and geometry, along with spelling, and word formation. Kindergarteners are engaged in problem solving as the prepare for a future world that uses a variety of technological tools both to learn and to demonstrate knowledge.

About my class
