Several students have mentioned the book about Lin Manuel Miranda, and how they enjoy his musicals, and songs he has written for many popular movies. Kids are making connections between music, and the \"outside world,\" as well as with each other through the addition of these books.\r\n\r\nKids in all grades have benefited from these books. My 5th grade band students have appreciated hearing about some of the greats, and about the history of their instruments. The Bob Marley books give illustrations to songs with beautiful lyrics, which enhances the experience of hearing a song.
