Imagine sitting for six hours a day, five days a week in a hard, uncomfortable chair (that may even be too small or too big) while trying to stay focused and on task. Kids need to be kids, and kids need movement! Research says that students need at least sixty minutes of active exercise daily. Students need to have their individual learning needs met, and for many, that is moving while learning. The supplies that I am requesting will keep my students engaged in classroom learning while being active. The wobble chairs, balance boards, tall table, stools, and pedals will help students to select a perfect fit space for them as they work on their individual projects in our blended learning classroom and have the opportunity to move while learning! I see many benefits of giving students seat options. Not only will they learn more because the seats are individualized, but attendance will increase as students eagerly come to school on time to select their seat. These seating options will be available for those students who need to be energized and moving throughout the day. Thank you for your consideration in donating to my classroom!
