I am choosing flexible seating for my project because I have seen in another classroom how the students love them. The students become better engaged because the seating is fun and helps them get their wiggles out. I am starting slowly with having flexible seating during 2 of my centers. The wobble chairs will allow the students to move around while not distracting other students. The kids will love sitting in these chairs because they are different and unusual. Teachers are raving about how flexible seating as changed the dynamics of their classroom by giving the students choices of where they seat and the types of seating. I want to make the kids first year in school a warm welcoming experience where they learn to love school. It is important to me to have some comforts of home instead of the normal desk and chairs. I hope you will fund my project to give these kids a good start in school
