I want to inspire my students to read materials that the rest of the students in Florida will be reading at there schools. My students are not always exposed to reading materials that can be entertaining and encourage their imagination and love for reading. The SSYRA book list is given out yearly and most schools encourage their students to read as many of the books as possible. My students have never been exposed to the list of books and have never been excited about the SSYRA books, but I would like to change that. My hope is by having these books available, we can start a book club at our school with students being excited about reading.
