My students have 20 minutes each day designated to PE. Since a lot of my students struggle academically, this is an opportunity for them to let loose and interact with their peers. These supplies in particular are excellent for team- building, and will help my students learn how to work together more effectively. In particular, the parachute and the catch and balance band set will teach my students how to work as a team. Social emotional growth is essential for my students, and the equipment will play an important role. It's wonderful how much we can learn about ourselves through play! My students need as many opportunities as possible to work together and learn how to interact effectively. While we tend to emphasize learning inside the classroom, we cannot discount the impact of play and social interaction. These supplies will make such a huge different for my active and playful students!
