Our school is located in a quaint, tight-knit community near the Jersey Shore. I am eager to get my class of 10 girls and 11 boys started off on the road to a successful year by loving reading and writing through the workshop model. Although I have not had the opportunity to teach these students yet, I know from their reputation that they are a group of vibrant and intelligent students who are eager to learn. As they enter fifth grade and become the role models for all of the younger students at our school, their actions and demonstration of the pillars of character has the potential to strengthen the whole school community.
