These materials will help my students adjust to the classroom since this is the first time most of them will have been in an in-person classroom! My students are ready for a year full of fun and learning! In order to help make sure they are supported in the best way possible, I need help making sure they have relevant hands-on materials that meet their needs. These books and speech materials will help my students practice their speech and language skills in person in fun and interesting ways. The students will use the sensory materials to calm down when overly stimulated by the classroom. The headphones give students an escape from the volume of their class and fidget toys allow students to pay attention while expending energy on a non-distracting item. Books and markers help students with their speech and language skills. Books are used to retell stories, sequence events, repeat target speech sounds, work on pragmatic skills, work on phonics and phonemic awareness, and increase comprehension by asking and answering WH questions. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, focus, and speech skills, but help me increase their academic achievement and create a classroom full of speech and language learning.
