Currently that tables we have are old-fashioned desks that do not provide enough student work space, in addition to being in various states of disrepair and doubling as trash receptacles. As a result, students feel cramped and uncomfortable working and are often prone to distractions. These tables would help to eliminate distractions by increasing students' comfort-levels in the classroom and provide more space to work on assignments individually and as a group. Furthermore, due to the extra work space provided and the mobility of these desks, students would be able to demonstrate their learning more creatively, i.e. through skits, arts and crafts, debates, presentations, etc.
