Our school is a Title I school located in a lower-socioeconomic (high poverty) area in Salem, OR. Many of our students come from bilingual households where their first language is Spanish. Many of our students have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, and far more adverse childhood experiences than any person should. My classroom is made up of 25 energetic bilingual kindergarten students. They are amazing individuals who come with many differences. As bilingual students, they are building their identity as multilingual and multicultural learners. These students are paving the way to create awareness of a cultural and linguistic society. I am honored to serve them and share a classroom with them. Kindergarten is where the adventure begins! Your generous donations and support will help me create a dream learning experience for all my students.
