Kindergarten students will listen to some favorite books (like "Curious George", "SkippyJon Jones", and "Marsupial Sue" to name a few) on CD while following along in the paperback version of the same title. I've included 20 of the most well-known and loved book titles in this project so that this center stays relevant and fun all year long. We will use the Hamilton Buhl 6-Station Basic CD player with included headphones for this. The Childcraft 593653 Mobile Audio Station is the perfect place to keep the CD player and books and CDs so that they stay organized and in great working order for many years to come! This listening center will enhance their love of books, early/emergent reading skills, and fluency by demonstration the proper reading rate, phrasing, and inflection using the voices on the CDs. Many of these kiddos do not have books read to them at home and will benefit from hearing voices in addition to mine. I am new to this grade level and do not have any of these materials to share with the group yet. I am so appreciative of any donations and know that the children will benefit from this center greatly!
