Music is an important part of a child's development. It is one of the few subjects that includes math, social studies, and science. As a STEM school, ours takes pride in giving our students a universal education. Using ukuleles in our classrooms would allow students to learn about other cultures while facilitating the application of reading music. Ukuleles would allow students who are growing to be able to learn to play a string instrument no matter the size of the child. Learning to play the ukulele would be a gateway to learn other string instruments including guitar and orchestral strings. Ukuleles are a fun easy way for students to be engaged and take reading music to another level for ages!
