My students thrive on presenting and sharing their solutions and creations. By presenting opportunities to both boys and girls for engineering and having authentic final projects, they will learn how math and science work in the real world. The iPads will let my students take ownership of the ideas from start to finish. They will be able to research styles of structures, and design their solutions to STEM activities. Then they can snap video of the engineering process and pictures of each stage. They will learn the process of forming a solution to a problem and carrying it out. Then, they can download their projects through video and pictures online. It can be posted to our Class Dojo which has capabilities for parents and classmates to view their online portfolio. They can project the pictures and videos and present to the class through the computer. Even in a high tech world, kids still love show and tell!
