Current research suggests that students should be offered a variety of different alternative seating arrangements through which they can learn. After all, no two learners are alike, and therefore, students should have the ability to choose the kind of environment that best suits their learning styles. Flexible seating is all about choice and accountability. Students can take charge of their learning by choosing which type of seating is best for them. It empowers learners by providing them with the opportunity to take control of their learning environment. My goal is to offer a variety of different seating arrangements. If this project is fully funded, I will be able to offer at least three different choices for my learners, in addition to traditional desks and chairs.
