In order to learn, students need to have a comfortable, inviting space to sit! Currently, the carpets in my classroom are a old and quite worn, and students would benefit from having a welcoming, fresh environment to learn. In a school that does not often have new items, this carpet would make a huge difference in the quality of the physical space students are experiencing. Much of our instructional day and community building time takes place on the carpet, and students deserve to feel welcomed and appreciated in all aspects of this space, which includes the fabric that keeps us comfortable and together!
