Through this project my goal is to make my classroom more adaptive and enriching. with products such as the wobble cushion and the two balance balls, my students will have the power of choice. Meaning they will be able to choose a setting to learn which is not the standard desk and chair. This would be an excellent addition to my classroom as my students struggle to sit still for long periods of time. These seating options give them the ability to move as needed without becoming a distraction during instruction. Learning should not be stagnate. Last year I tested having seating options in my classroom. The students loved the balance ball I had borrowed from another teacher. Students who chose to use the ball as a seating options were on task more than those at a traditional desk and chair. I also found that the foam floor mats for students to sit on was a hit as well with my students. I believe that students should not be sitting for long periods of time and also in the power of choice. Please consider donating to my classroom. My wish list items were chosen with my kiddos in mind and based on a trial experience from last year. Thanks!
