My students need wobble chairs and exercise balls-flexible seating options to help create a classroom community focused on learning and movement. Flexible seating options allow students to make choices in the classroom. They are able to decide what type of learning environment fits them best. Having a variety of seating options involves them in the classroom decision making process, fostering skills of independence and good choices regarding learning Our project includes wobble chairs for movement while seated and working on classroom assignments, and exercise balls for a sensory experience that is less rigid than a typical chair. Each of these items will benefit students during the learning process through the creation of a creative, welcoming and collaborative educational experience.
