My students need this variety of books to promote a positive culture in their lives through literacy. I teach in the Special Education department at HHS. I have students with emotional and behavioral disorders. My students need books like "Number the Stars" and "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" so they can see everyone has overcome challenges in their life! My students need this variety of books to promote a positive culture in their lives through literacy. I want to provide them with literature they would never get at home. I am creating a library in my room so I can read aloud to them and the can also work independently on!
