Students are much more likely to succeed at something if they practice first. That’s why we give homework or play practices. Why should testing be any different? Chromebooks in my classroom would provide 107 of students the ability to start practicing for their standardized test at the end of the year. Practicing for the test is setting them up for success! They will know how to use all tools in the program and have no confusion on what they can do in the software IF they have laptops to practice on. Chromebooks would also help my students prepare for the writing portion of the test because they will be timed and it will be extremely difficult for them to write it out on paper and then type it. By having the Chromebooks they can learn to type on the Chromebooks first and edit their writing directly on the computer.
