Flexible seating secures focus and promotes mental health. I will use seating to create learning zones for class projects and work time. Since many of my students do not have homes of their own, my goal is to make my classroom resemble a comfortable living space where learning can take place and students can forget about the cares of the outside world. By giving multiple seating options, a library space, and interactive work spaces, my students will be able to find a space that works best for them. Students should have access to a library where they can research and read. Having a bookshelf and seating in my classroom will allow them to have this space. Additionally, students should be able to move around throughout the day and find seating that allows them to be comfortable so they can focus on their work. I am trying to provide them with options so they can discover what works best for them.
