I would like to provide my students with more variety for reading as well as an academic environment built for success. A positive classroom environment is one of the most important factors to affect student learning. Including current materials and interesting bilingual books will encourage ALL students to be more proactive in academics. Research shows, when students enjoy their reading selection they are more likely to select the same type of books again which also increases fluency and comprehension. It is essential for all students to be given access to likable resources. The biggest challenge is the life my students' possess outside of school. Low economic communities present challenges which are involuntarily forced on students. With your help to build our classroom we can increase opportunities to help students succeed. This is how students will cultivate a lifelong love for reading and education.
