I would love to have iPads in my Kindergarten class because there are so many amazing apps that help with literacy and help develop their language. San Pedro is a Title 1 school where most of my students do not have many resources at home. I would love to have students use iPads during workshop time, so they can incorporate technology with their learning. They will use apps that allow students to write their letters, work on phonemic awareness, and listen to stories. I want to provide many opportunities for my students to become successful readers. It's important that students are exposed to different ways of seeing English. Since most are second language learners, this will also help in developing their English skills.
